5 Las Vegas Water Parks to Help Your Family Beat the Heat This Summer

When temperatures hit triple digits, summer has unofficially arrived in Nevada — so how do you beat the heat when it’s this hot? You visit a Las Vegas water park, of course! From Mandalay Bay Beach to the Aqua Park at Lake Las Vegas, there are plenty of options to choose from to help you stay cool. As always, don’t forget to call or check the website before your visit in case of any changes, as well as follow all local health and social guidelines to keep you and your family safe.

Cowabunga Bay Las Vegas 

Located in nearby Henderson, Cowabunga Bay is a 1960s-themed water park, complete with nine water slidesa lazy river, and more. Splash in the playful fountains at Boardwalk Bay, cruise the retro surf scene on the Cowabunga River, or simply sit back and relax at the Caban-A-Rama Pool. When you’re ready to take a break from the sun, enjoy some tasty food and beach treats at one of the parks many eateries. Season passes start at $79.99 per person, and all-day admission starts at $18.99 when you purchase tickets online. 

Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas 

Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas is a 26-acre water park located southwest of the I-215 and Sunset Road intersection. The park features a wide variety of slides and attractions like the Hoover Half Pipe, Desert Racers, Splash Island, and more. No visit to Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas is complete without visiting Red Rock Bay. Ride 4-foot swells in a tube or body surf for the ultimate experience. Season passes start at $49.99, and general admission starts at $34.99. 

Mandalay Bay Beach 

Mandalay Bay Beach is an 11-acre beach area that invites visitors to swim, splash, and soak up the sun. Flow down the lazy river, wade in the wave pool, or lounge in a lagoon. When you’re ready to refuel, head over to the Beach Bar & Grill for some sustenance on the sand. If you are looking to relax and unwind, Mandalay Bay Beach offers bungalows, day beds, luxury cabanas, and villas for rent. Mandalay Beach is complimentary for hotel guests. Admission for non-hotel guests — Monday through Thursday — is $20 for adults, $10 for kids aged 4-16, and free for kids under 3. 

The Tank 

If you are looking for the best water park in Las Vegas, The Tank at the Golden Nugget might be the perfect spot. Named one of “America’s Most Amazing Hotel Pools” by CNN Travel, The Tank features a three-story water slide, pool, and a 200,000-gallon shark tank. Experience a one-of-a-kind waterslide that takes you through the enclosure, where you can see hundreds of marine animalsAfter swimming among sharks and stingrays, dry off and lounge poolside or enjoy a drink at the H2O Bar. A second pool is even accessible from the third floor of The Tank. Additionally, the Golden Nugget offers tours of the tank to visitors. The Tank is complimentary for hotel guests. Admission for non-hotel guests is $15 Monday-Thursday and $25 Friday-Sunday.  

The Aqua Park at Lake Las Vegas 

If you are looking for a unique summer attraction, the Aqua Park may be the perfect spot! The 40,000-square-foot park includes inflatable slides, jumping pads, runways, and more. Visitors are surrounded by Lake Las Vegas, which makes it the ideal spot to cool off and make some long-lasting summer memories. There are both easy and challenging sections of the park, so there is plenty of fun for the entire family. Admission to the Aqua Park costs $22 for 45 minutes or $35 for 90 minutes. Additionally, you can buy a season pass for $99, which gives you unlimited access and 10% off special events.
